Marin Independent Journal - Marin exhibit highlights artistic visions of inmates

The exhibition includes dozens of painted, winged hearts hanging on walls on the first and third floors of the building. Visitors can also listen to recorded poems by inmates and absorb stories that are expressed in paintings and sculptures.

The show, “Visions of Hope,” is a collaboration between Life on Art, a nonprofit organization in Petaluma, and the People’s Commission for Integrity in Criminal Justice, an organization based in Mill Valley. The show runs through Oct. 24.
